"I truly believe that it has made such a difference to every area of my life."

Coaching Techniques

Some of the techniques you may be invited to work with include:

The Freedom Process

“The Freedom Process™" is a revolutionary psychological approach to transforming and resolving limiting thoughts, emotions, behaviours and habits.  At the heart of the process is the discovery that emotional and psychological limitations, such as low confidence, excessive anger, confusion, procrastination and self criticism have a tangible presence in the physical body, and that behind each of these limitations is an aspect or part of mind that when engaged with in a specific way will automatically, and often permanently, resolve the ‘problem’ that it created for you.

This process has been developed by Dr Mark Atkinson who is the director of The Academy of Human Potential.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy gets its name from one of its core messages: to accept what is out of your personal control, while committing to do whatever you can to improve your quality of life.  The aim of ACT is to help people create a rich, full and meaningful life while effectively handling the  pain and stress that life inevitably brings.  It does this by teaching you psychological skills to deal with your painful thoughts and feelings effectively - in such a way that they have much less impact on you.  It will also help you to clarify what is truly important and meaningful to you i.e your values – then use that knowledge to guide, inspire and motivate you to change your life for the better.

Emotrance

Emotrance is a simple and highly effective tool that is very useful in many cases.  It is a mind-body skill that uses the power of intention to remove underlying disturbances associated with a range of emotion related challenges.  Amongst other things it can be used for overcoming barriers to self acceptance.

Guided Imagery

Guided Imagery directs the imagination to help bring about conscious goals and give insight into particular life situations and challenges.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT)

EFT is perhaps best described as psychological acupressure.  It combines tapping on various parts of the body (which correspond to acupuncture points), while saying specific phrases and affirmations that describe the problem that you wish to address and release.

The Work

The Work is a method that has been developed by Byron Katie.  It consists of four questions that we can use when we realise that our thoughts are at odds with reality.  By using these questions we can meet our thoughts with understanding and become aware of our stories. In this way we can resolve issues and become in touch with reality.
